Blakiston's Fish Owl Observatory Lodge in Rausu

Rausu on the Shiretoko Peninsula is a great place to spot the rare Blakiston's fish owls.
They are the world's largest owls with a wingspan of reaching 180cm and are critically endangered species, only about 140 of them are left in Hokkaido.
The special lighting system in a natural stream allows visitors to photograph Blakiston's fish owls year-round.
We can arrange a observatory apace for you. After checking in, we will lecturing about Observatory place.
